Today’s Training:
- 3 1-mile laps on my bike
- 1 1-mile lap on my feet, running
- 1 1-mile lap alternately walking and sprinting
- 1 1-mile cooldown lap on my bike, and
- a ceremonial lap around the yard, weaving between the maple trees and taking it at a dead-run through the pine forest trail.
I would like to add that I carried four 20-kg bags of salt 20 meters each from the storage garage to the furnace room, and then heaved them into the water filter. In fairness, I know that doesn`t count and I am kicking myself because now my left shoulder hurts – rotator cuff – and those sacks of salt are looking mighty guilty. Sigh, the foolishnes that comes with a certain age, no?
A long way to go before I am doing a full 5km with obstacles…three weeks…if I have to sprint and walk, well, I just will do that.
At least the gardens will no longer be an excuse not to train: I hired a nice teenager to pull my weeds.
Lyric of the Day: “This may be ludicrous…” Taio Cruz ft. Ludacris (I listen to the Tyler Ward family acoustic version)
Ludicrous: Adjective: So foolish, unreasonable, or out of place as to be amusing.
